Catherine’s most recent literary translation projects include poems by Uruguayan authors Luis Bravo, Laura Cesarco Eglin, Paula Simonetti, and Sebastián Rivero. Her bilingual chapbook of Paula Simonetti’s work En la boca de los tristes / What the Sad Say was published in 2016 by Avenue Q Press. Her translations of Paula Simonetti and Sebastián Rivero appear in the anthology América invertida: An Anthology of Emerging Uruguayan Poets (University of New Mexico Press, 2016); and of Sebastián Rivero and Luis Bravo in Earth, Water and Sky: An Anthology of Environmental Poetry (Editorial Yaugurú, 2016, and Diálogos Books, 2017). She co-translated Laura Cesarco Eglin’s poetry volume Reborn in Ink with Jesse Lee Kercheval (The Word Works, 2019). Voice & Shadow: New & Selected Poems by Luis Bravo, also co-translated with Jesse Lee Kercheval, was published by Lavender Ink Press in 2020.
